OVERVIEW

	Electric Motor. Robust electric motor delivers high torque off-the-line for powerful, V6-like acceleration and can power the full Hybrid Escape to 40 km per hour on its own.
	Regenerative Braking. Regenerative braking is one of the reasons you never have to 'plug-in' - whenever you apply the brakes, you are helping to recharge the battery pack.
	Gas Engine. 2.3L Atkinson Cycle gas engine generates 133 horsepower at 6000 rpm and 129 lb.-ft. of torque at 4500 rpm.
	NiMH. 330-volt nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery pack stores electrical power to start the gasoline engine and for added boosts in acceleration performance; sealed battery pack requires no owner maintenance and compact design allows it to be located out of the way under the load floor.
	Storage. Interior versatility is facilitated by locating the battery pack below the rear load floor - so even with 5 passengers, you'll still get 764.5L (27 cu. ft.) of cargo space; get 1841L (65 cu. ft.) with the cushion removed
